The police chief was extremely suspicious of the mass deaths and conducted a search of Teréz Urbán. The result is that more bottles of poison and arsenic mixed with sugar were found in the woman. The killer was arrested and taken to the Zenta District Court.

FULL TEXT: Szegedről irja tudósítónk: Bácsmegye három községében : Mokolon, Péterrévón és Obecsén, mint ismeretes, rájöttek, hogy egy sereg asszony megmérgezte a férjét.
A bűnszövetkezet ellen megindított nyomozást Karakas Gábor rendőrvezető folytatta, a ki kiderítette, hogy a bandának egyik tagja Adán, a Mohollal szomszédos községben van.
Megindította tehát a nyomozást, a mely tegnapelőtt eredményre is vezetett.
Megállapította, hogy Urbán Teréz adai korcsmárosné öt embert mérgezett meg aránylag rövid idő leforgása alatt: egymásután három férjét és két leányát.
Urbán Teréz évekkel ezelőtt ment férjhez, először egy jómódú földesgazdához.
Az asszony kikapós természetű volt.

A rendőr- vezetőnek rendkivül gyanús volt a tömeges elhalálozás és házkutatást tartott Urbán Teréznél.
Az eredmény az, hogy az asszonynál több üveg mérget és cukorporral kevert arzénikumot találtak.
A gyilkost letartóztatták és a zentai járásbiróság fogházába szállították.
