TEXT: Buffalo, Nov. 13. – After throwing acid in the face of her chauffeur,
Arthur C. Ferris, 34 years old, Mrs. Anna Heil, 29 years old, a widow with two
small children, fired a wild shot at the man und then turned the revolver on
herself, indicting n trifling wound in her right temple. The affair occurred as
Ferris opened the door of his employer's motor car for her to enter.
Mrs.
Hell was arrested and the man held as a witness.
Early
this morning Mrs. Heil again attempted suicide. Evading the watchfulness of the
matron at Police Headquarters she stole into the lavatory and turned on the
gas. She was discovered unconscious, but quickly revived and will recover.
Ferris
dodged most of the acid. His burns and Mrs. Heil’s slight wound were dressed at
the Emergency Hospital. Mrs. Hell gave as the reason for her attack upon her
chauffeur that he had broken his promise to marry her, having recently married
a girl in Syracuse. Mrs. Heil lives with her father at 237 Rose street.
