TEXT: Little Rock, Ark., June 9.—Ellen Jones was arrested in this city to-day,
charged with murdering her step-son, aged 2 years, by beating it to
death. The testimony at the examination showed that she would beat the little
child until it would be convulsed with spasms and then strip its clothes off,
tie its hands behind it and leave it a prey to the flies for hours. The woman
is in jail. The affair has created much excitement.
