FULL TEXT (translated from French): La Rochelle, Sept. 8 - We are currently investigating an attempted poisoning case, the culprit being a ten-year-old girl.
Here are some details on this fact, already announced by the Petit Journal: An honorable family from Seine-et-Marne, vacationing in Fouras, had taken with them a young 18-year-old valet and his half-sister, Rolande Vallée, 10 years old, daughter of a Moroccan subject, generously welcomed by them.
It was soon found that the dogs of the family had been brutalized and even poisoned. The young Rolande then confessed to knowing pricked with needles and having given them bleach. The pretext: she was jealous that we gave them cakes.
It was also remembered that on several occasions the soup served had tasted disagreeably and that those who had eaten it had experienced violent colic. When questioned, Rolande admitted having poured Javelet water and hydrogen peroxide into this soup.

The heroine of the criminal case is a ten-year-old girl, probably the youngest poisoner about whom the French criminal chronicle knows. She is accused of trying to poison an entire family. Fortunately, the machinations of the young criminal after the first victim's illness were discovered, and so a major disaster could be prevented in good time. It is the family of a civil servant who spends her summer vacation every year in the small village of Fouras.
The family took an eighteen-year-old servant with him and his sister, the ten-year-old Rollande Valere [sic].

Voici quelques details sur ce fait, déjà annoncé parle Petit Journal:.Une honorable famille de Seine-et-Marne, villégiaturant â Fouras, avait pris avec elle un jeune valet de chamber de18ans et la demi-sœur de celui-ci, Rolande Vallée, âgée de10 ans, fille d'un sujet marocain, accueillie généreusement par eux.
On s'aperçut bientôt queles chiens de la famille avaient été brutalisés et même intoxiqués. La jeune Rolande avoua alors le savoir piqués avec des aiguilles et leur avoir donné de l'eau de Javel. Le prétexte: elle-était jalousé qu'on leur donnât des gâteaux.
On se rappela aussiqu'à diverses reprises le potages ervi avait eu un gout désagréable et que ceux qui enavaient mangé avaient ressenti de violentes coliques. Interrogée, Rolande reconnut avoir versé dans ce potagè de l'eau de Javelet del'eau oxygénée.

FULL TEXT: Die Pariser Polizei befaßt sich mit einer nicht alltäglichen Giftmordaffäre. Die Heldindes Kriminalfalles ist ein zehnjähriges Mädchen, wohl die jüngste Giftmischerin, über die die französische Kriminalchronst zu berichten weiß. Es wird ihr zur Last gelegt, den Versuch gemacht zu haben, eine ganze Familie zu giften. Zum Glück hat man die Machenschaften der so jungen Verbrecherin nach der Erkrankung des ersten Opfers entdeckt, und so konnte ein größeres Unheil noch rechtzeitig verhütet werden. Es handelt sich um die Familie eines Staatsbeamten, die ihrem Sommerferein jedes Jahr in der kleinen Ortschaft Fouras zu verbringen pflegt.
Die Familie nahm aufs Land einen achtzehnjährigen Diener mit und auch dessen Schwester, die zehnjährige Rollande Valere.
Sie ist die Tochter eine Familie aus Marokko und lebt bereits seit zwei Jahren im Hause des Staatsbeamten.
Eines Tages ist der große Jagdhund des Hausherrn erkrankt, die Krank-heits symptom erschienen dem Tierarzt verdächtig, Da man eine Tollwut befürchtete, wurde der Hund erschossen.
Diesem Vorfall legte man erst eine Bedeutung bei, als kurze Zeit nachher auch den Schoßhund ein ähnliches Schicksal traf.
Acht Tage späterer krankte plötzlich der achtzehnjährige Bruder der kleinen Rollande.
Der Arztstellte Vergiftung durch Arsenik festund der fügte, daßderjunge Mann ach Paris ins Spital gebracht werde.
Er schwebt derzeit zwischen Tod und Leben.
Erst jetzt erinnerte man sich, daß auch der Schoßhund Vergistuugssymptome durch Arsenik gezeigt hatte.
Es wurde eine Untersuchung eingelcitet, die zum Ergebnis führte, daß die zehnjährige Rollande aus der Apotheke eine bedeutende Dosis von Arsenik gestohlen und damit zunächst die lüden Hunde vergiftet hatte, Dann mischte sie das Gift in die Suppe ihres Bruders.
Einem scharfen Verhör unterzogen, gab das kleine Mädchen ohne Leugnen zu, ihren Bruder vergiftet zu haben.
Sie sei, fügte die zehnjährige Giftmischerin hinzu, auf ihren Bruder ”eisersüchtig" gewesen, da dieser mehr zu essen becomen habe als sie.
Ans du Frage, weshalb sie, Die Hunde vergiftet habe, erklärte Rollande, sie wollte die Wirkung des Giftes erproben.
Sie gestand schließlich, die Absicht gehabt zu haben, sämtliche Mitglieder der Familie zu vergiften.
Das zehnjährige Kind würde der haftet und nach Paris in die psychiatrische Klinik über geführt, wo es auf seinen Geisteszustand untersucht werden soll.
Es hat den Anschein, daß Rollande Valere geistig nicht normal sei. Die Familie ist erblich belastet.
Die Mutter der kleinen Giftmischerin soll angeblich an den seelischen Schmerzen gestorben sein, die sie empfunden hatte, als sie die verbrecherischen Instinkte ihres Kindes entdeckte.
