Susan Childs, Disfigured for Life by Anonymous Woman’s Acid Attack - 1911

FULL TEXT: Goldfield, Nev., Aug. 24. – Susan Childs, a pretty domestic, aged 21, is suffering from severe burns on the face and breast today, sustained when an unidentified woman, believed to have been prompted by jealousy, hurled a quantity of carbolic acid at her head. Miss Childs will be disfigured for life.
