Lillian Donnely, Australian Husband-Beater, Caused Serious Injuries - 1928


FULL TEXT: Sydney [Australia] – At the Central Court, Lillian Donnely, 45, was committed for trial on a charge of having inflicted grievous bodily harm on her husband.

Her husband stated that when he refused to eat a meal, his wife attacked him and thrashed him with her corsets. She then threw him on the ground, and putting her hand inside his mouth, threatened to "pull his inside out.” She then slapped him on the head with a drawer of a sewing machine causing serious injuries.
