FULL TEXT: Authorities reportedly found the bodies of multiple infants in a home in Poland where a father and his daughter allegedly had an incestuous relationship. Piotr Gierasik, 54, and Paulina Gierasik, 20, were arrested and charged with murder in Czerniki after social workers made the gruesome discovery in the basement of their home.

The father and daughter allegedly had a consensual relationship that concerned neighbors and acquaintances. The Daily Mail UK reported that social workers raided their home and found the bodies decomposing in the basement. Now, the Gierasiks face life in prison.

Her coworkers at a cake shop in Stara Kiszewa said she and her father reportedly had a strange relationship, the Daily Mail reported. He allegedly shaved Paulina's head to make her unattractive to other men, seemingly to claim her as his own. The UK Sun reported that a local person told Super Express newspaper that Paulina "worshipped" her father after his wife died and began a consensual relationship with him.

local also shared that Piotr had as many as a dozen children and kept up appearances so what was allegedly happening in his home was shocking. "Piotr made a good impression. The yard is neglected, but he installed new windows in the house. There was no sign of him drinking," the person said. "He took the kids for walks or to the forest to pick mushrooms. Just ordinary people. Who would have thought that such abominations existed in their home."

She reportedly began to wear baggier clothes and stuffed tissue in her bra to sop up breast milk. One coworker said she wore belts around her waist, seemingly to hold in her growing belly, per the Sun.

"We all guessed she was pregnant, I think she had tied belts around herself like a sort of corset. When she returned early from her holiday the change was visible. She was much thinner, weaker, and constantly tired," the person said. "When we asked about the child, she feigned surprise and denied it."

A coworker reportedly called authorities.

The Daily Mail reported that one of Paulina's colleagues at the cake shop called social services after reading "disturbing" text messages on her phone. Katarzyna Matyszczak, Paulina's bakery manager, told Super Express, per the Daily Mail, "Everyone was gossiping about it. His youngest daughter Paulina is a beautiful girl. Everyone said she was pregnant. So I asked about it directly. She denied it. "One of her friends didn't believe it," she continued. "I won't say who, but she was the one who informed the relevant services about the whole matter, because she suspected that she had given birth to a child."

When social workers arrived at the home, news outlets reported, they discovered the bodies of three infants in various stages of decomposition. Authorities believe two infants belonged to Paulina and the third is her sister's. The Daily Mail reported the investigation is ongoing, and authorities will continue their search of the property for more bodies.  The infants were sent for autopsies to try to determine how they died. Both Piotr and Paulina are in jail on murder and incest charges. They could remain behind bars for life.
