TEXT: Amman, Jordan – A Jordanian criminal court has sentenced a young woman to
death by hanging for murdering her mother-in law with an axe and burning the
corpse, the government announced Saturday.
The
convicted woman, Haya Mahmoud Zoubi, 20, hacked the victim with an axe before
burning the body with kerosene, the announcement said.
Date for the hanging was not known.
