FULL TEXT: Pittsburgh – A woman sobbed loudly and nearly fell to her knees after her daughter was sentenced to 15 to 50 years in prison for throwing acid at four people.
Salina Jones, 22, had said she threw the sulfuric acid in
self-defense on July 25, 1994.
Jones’ mother appeared to be distraught after the sentencing
Tuesday in Allegheny County Court.
Jones is planning an appeal.
