It
is worth nothing that all but one of the cases dating from after 1920
are known to historians of serial killers none of the seven dating from
1886 to 1912 have ever been listed before. These cases have been
forgotten, wiped from history, despite half a century of generous
funding for women’s studies – forgotten ... until now.

Temporary note: For those visitors looking for the Meyer case, referred to elsewhere: There was an error, Mrs. Meyer was indeed a serial killer, but not of any husband, it turns out.
